the gospel according to luke

very short

luke was a gentile (non-jew) physician who wrote the gospel (as well as acts) around the year 85 ad. he was a companion to paul (paul's conversion occurred on the road to damascus, he was a missionary apostle mainly to gentiles).

for luke, jesus is preeminently the doer of the will of god
no gospel writer is more concerned than luke with
- the mercy and compassion of jesus
- the role of the holy spirit in the life of jesus and the christian disciple
- the importance of prayer
- jesus' concern for women
while jesus calls all humanity to repent he is particularly demanding of those who would be his disciples. of them he demands absolute and total detachment from family and material possessions (although you can be a disciple of christ without such sacrifices!)
to all who respond in faith and repentance to the word jesus preaches, he brings salvation and peace and life

so what is in luke chapter ten?

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

قَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «أَنَا هُوَ الطَّرِيقُ وَالْحَقُّ وَالْحَيَاةُ. لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَأْتِي إِلَى الآبِ إِلاَّ بِي.

耶稣说「我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉著我，没有人能到父那里去。

"Ich bin der Weg!", antwortete Jesus. "Ich bin die Wahrheit und das Leben! Zum Vater kommt man nur durch mich.
