| Jesus is trying to help his disciples understand
the dire consequences for those who reject His message. There is no worse example of evil than the city of Sodom. Nor is there any more powerful example of God's judgment for rejecting a chance to leave that wickedness than Sodom. Jesus makes it clear, that to reject Him, His messengers, and His message is to be worse than Sodom. This sobering truth should make us realize how precious the message of Jesus is to the lost world's salvation - and our own! |
